Partner agencies

CSIRO partners with several other organisations to conduct marine tagging research for Australia. Ocean Tracks draws partly on data, projects, infrastructure and equipment provided by or shared with agencies including the Australian Institute of Marine Science, the Integrated Marine Observing System (through the Australian Animal Tagging and Monitoring System), the South Australian Research and Development Institute, the Western Australian Department of Environment and Conservation, the Western Australian Department of Fisheries and the Western Australian Marine Science Institution.

Selected tagging projects receive additional funding from the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation and swordfish were tagged with funding assistance from the Australian Fisheries Management Authority.
